There are locals selling various types of jungli fruits like star, jamun, karvanda, kakdi, guava, peru, and so on. One can buy and keep munching all the way.

MATHERAN SMALL INFO

Matheran is an automobile-free hill station and no vehicles are allowed after Dasturi parking. Only horses, manual carts and walking can be done inside. Not even bicycles.

MATHERAN TOYTRAIN INFO

Central Railway’s Matheran Hill Railway is a narrow-gauge heritage railway in Maharashtra. It covers a distance of 21 km through a forest in the Western Ghats from Neral to Matheran. The narrow-gauge railway line halts at three stations in between i.e. Jummapatti, Waterpipe, Aman Lodge and ends at Matheran.
